Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has continued to perform his work despite being infected with coronavirus and discussed important government matters with the leaders of his party on Thursday.
Earlier during the day, Imran took to Instagram to post a picture of himself where he can be seen working from his home.
The prime minister can be seen in the picture, wearing a face mask as he holds a red book in his hands. It's unclear which book PM Imran Khan was reading.
The picture has garnered more than 27,000 likes in less than half an hour since it was posted on Imran Khan's Instagram account.
"Working from home," the caption read.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz has shared a photo of Imran on social media chairing a meeting of his media team at Bani Gala.
The fact that Imran chaired the meeting at Bani Gala on Thursday in spite of having contracted the coronavirus a few days ago and resultantly going into isolation raises the question whether he had tested negative for the virus before attending the meeting.
Other prominent figures seen in the photo are Special Assistant to the PM for Overseas Pakistanis, Zulfi Bukhari and Chairman Senate Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Senator Faisal Javed Khan and principal secretary to PM.
Senator Faisal Javed also tweeted the picture, saying Prime Minister Imran Khan is fit and fine, and doing well while holding meetings following coronavirus SOPs.
Imran, who got a vaccine shot on March 18, had tested positive for the coronavirus on March 20. His wife Bushra Bibi also contracted the COVID-19 on the same day.
The announcement was made by Special Assistant to the PM on Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan in a tweet uploaded on Saturday. According to Dr Faisal Sultan, the prime minister had placed himself in self-isolation at his home in Banigala.
The premier has advised the PTI leaders regarding different issues.
