The 18th edition of Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD) currently ongoing at the historic Heart of Sharjah district, offers a capsule of different cultures and traditions, and you don’t have to visit a stall or pavilion to experience it.

Sharjah Heritage Days is running at Heart of Sharjah until April 10.

Khamis Tofi walks around the festival venue in a red “tarbouch” hat, serving sham berry juice from his copper “briyak” to visitors, offering a bit of traditional Syrian hospitality to all. Such vendors are a common sight in the markets in Syria, like the Al Hamidiyah Souq in Damascus, especially during Ramadan.
