The Dubai Court of Appeal has upheld the ruling issued by Criminal Court of sentencing an Arab drug-trafficker to 5 years in jail, followed by deportation and a Dhs20,000 fine for facilitating drugs to another defendant.
The incident dates back to last August, when Dubai Police received a tip-off that the 41-year-old defendant was in possession of drugs and attempts to sell it.
During investigations, the arresting officer testified that the defendant’s residence was searched, and a quantity of drugs and crystal meth were found hidden inside plastic rolls.
The defendant confessed to using and promoting the drugs to be sold to other defendants for money.
