Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) on Monday on its social media account announced Ramadan timings for all private schools in Sharjah.
The authority has put in place 4 specifications for school timings during the Holy Month of Ramadan, taking into account students and parents.
The total duration of teaching hours should not exceed five hours in a day and the minimum number of hours for daily classes should also not be less than 3 hours.
All schools are asked not to begin classes before 9:00am.
Schools must take into account the educational stages and parents and their needs while deciding upon the number of hours for daily classes.
The SPEA has also advised schools to reduce homework outside class time and to cut back on exams.
