The Abu Dhabi Police have warned motorists of the dangers of suddenly swerving, which causes tragic traffic accidents, stressing the need for them to pay attention, avoid distraction, keep lane and use light signals and mirrors when they need to change lanes.
They indicated that a fine of Dhs1,000 plus 4 traffic points would be imposed in case of causing an accident due to sudden swerving in accordance with the federal traffic law and law no. (5) for 2020, adding that the vehicle that caused the accident would be impounded and would be released only after paying Dhs5,000 within three months.
If the release charges have not been paid with the specified period, the vehicle would be offered for sale in a public auction, they said.
