An Asian worker was sentenced by Dubai Courts to two years in jail followed by deportation for brutally assaulting a man and causing permanent disability to him with the help of runaway accomplices.
The incident took place last October, when the Asian victim filed a police report, saying he was brutally beaten by the defendant and around 20 accomplices once he left his residence in Dubai.
He testified that the gang had suddenly attacked him with metal and plastic rods without any reason.
Medical reports indicated that victim had sustained injuries all over his body and suffered broken fingers, causing a 6% permanent disability for him.
After police were alerted with the incident, the first defendant was arrested and prosecuted, while the another defendant was also apprehended and received jail-term.
The victim also claimed that the gang members were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the attack.
