Bangladeshi expat Shahed Ahmed Moulvifaiz has hit the Dhs10 million Big Ticket jackpot in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.
Moulvifaiz’s ticket number was 008335.
Moulvifaiz runs a garage in Al Ain and was all humility after becoming a millionaire.
He was seen dealing with customers at his shop as usual.
Moulvifaiz has been living in the UAE for 40 years.
He came during his teen years and, after running from pillar to post, finally managed to open a garage in Al Ain.
Moulvifaiz is one of the oldest Big Ticket customers.
It was learnt that the 55-year-old man has been buying raffle tickets since the inception of Big Ticket.
Apart from Moulvifaiz, Indian expat Raman Nambiar Mohan won the second biggest prize of Dhs5 million.
Big Ticket said on its Facebook page, “Congratulations to Shahed Ahmed Moulvifaiz, from Bangladesh, for winning ticket no. 008335. He won Dhs10 Million in The Big 10 Million series 226…”
The name of the luxury car winner was also revealed. “Congratulations to Manikandan Thiyagarajani from India with Ticket No. 016121 for winning the Dream Car Range Rover series 2!”
The Big Ticket, the longest-running and biggest raffle draw in the UAE is hosted at Abu Dhabi International Airport, Al Ain Airport and online at www.bigticket.ae
