A 39-year-old African maid was booked and prosecuted by Dubai Courts on robbery charges, after robbing her employer’s villa of items worth over Dhs9,000.
During investigations, the victim testified that she had entered the maid’s room and noticed one of her items placed there.
Upon asking the defendant, she claimed that the victim was the one who willingly gave it to her.
The victim felt suspicious and decided to search the defendant’s room, only to find other stolen items such as 2 iPhones worth about Dhs3,260, an iPad worth Dhs1,300, various cloths, and food products.
The officer testified that he was dispatched to the robbery scene, and as soon as he arrived, he found the stolen items packed in a bag in the villa yard and the victim accusing the maid of stealing them.
