The UAE Government is urging all youth to get the vaccine as soon as possible to achieve the country’s goal of a coronavirus free society.
Saeed Al Nazari, Director General of the Federal Youth Authority said during a briefing on coronavirus, “We call on our youth to vaccinate, which will have a positive effect on society by breaking the chain of infection, and maintaining UAE’s achievements in combating COVID-19.”
The Youth must continue to adhere and commit to the to the laws and guidelines after vaccinating, in order to achieve full recovery. Abiding by the rules is an individual responsibility and a national obligation.
UAE’s Youth, armed with Sheikh Zayed's values, support UAE in managing emergencies and crises and preventing pandemics.
They make-up a major factor in handling the pandemic, and are the social group backed by knowledge, training & skills necessary to face challenges.
Nazari said, “The Youth must realize the pivotal role they play in this unique phase that society is going through. They must work to utilize their time and skills in serving the nation's causes.”
The Authority works on hundreds of activities and events to develop the potential of youth in various fields, whether in professional preparation, modern technologies, the arts, or other fields.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health and Prevention has announced that 118,805 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered during the past 24 hours.
The total number of doses provided up to today stands at 9,156,728 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 92.58 doses per 100 people.
The vaccination drive is in line with the Ministry's plan to provide the vaccine to all members of society and acquire immunity, which will help reduce the number of cases and control the spread of the virus.
