Creative ideas are essential for building an entrepreneurial future in police work and are the engine that pushes the wheel fast in the race for excellence, said Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police. Innovation in Dubai Police is an essential approach to improving performance and maintaining the standard and position achieved by Dubai Police for continuous pursuit of the best, he added.
Al Marri said so during his launch of the ‘External Innovation Platform’ in Dubai Police’s Innovation Lab in the presence of Brigadier General Ahmed Rafie, Acting Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Administration Affairs, Brigadier General Khaled Nasser Al Razooqi, Director of the General Department of Artificial Intelligence, a number of officers and 10 participants from 10 countries.
The launch marks the Preparations for the celebration of the UAE's 50th founding anniversary and the golden jubilee of the Ministry of Interior.
The platform enables the public inside or outside the UAE to communicate with Dubai Police Innovation Lab to submit their innovations and participate in making solutions and supporting creative ideas, said Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Ibrahim Bin Sebaa Al Marri, Chairman of the Innovation Council at Dubai Police.
A dedicated committee made up of innovation experts from Dubai Police will evaluate the submitted ideas and projects and select the best idea for each of the challenges listed in the platform, he said.
The best idea will entitle its owner to receive a financial reward of Dhs25,000 for each challenge, he added noting that external participants can login and register in the platform through the website https://innovation.dubaipolice.gov.ae, where they would see the challenges that would be placed on the platform on a continuous basis.
