Veteran Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has got UAE’s 10 years’ Golden Visa. The actor took to his twitter account to make the announcement.
“Honoured to have received a golden visa for the UAE in the presence of Major General Mohammed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai. Thanking him along with the UAE government for the honour," he tweeted
Actor also thanked Hamad Obaidalla, COO of flydubai for his support.
In 2019, the UAE implemented a new system for long-term residence visas.
The new system enables foreigners to live, work and study in the UAE without the need of a national sponsor and with 100 per cent ownership of their business on the UAE’s mainland.
These visas will be issued for 5 or 10 years and will be renewed automatically.
Separately, on Tuesday Sanjay Dutt shared an Instagram post in memory of his father, the late actor-politician Sunil Dutt, on the occasion of the latters death anniversary, calling him a friend and a mentor.
Sanjay posted a throwback black and white picture where he poses alongside his father. "
"A parent, an idol, a friend, a mentor - you were everything to me. Love you Dad, miss"you," Sanjay wrote as caption.
Sunil Dutt passed away in 2005 after a heart attack in his Mumbai home, two weeks prior to his 76th birthday.
Sanjay awaits the release of "Shamshera" and "KGF Chapter 2" later this year.
