A Gulf citizen was booked by police and referred to criminal court on drug-trafficking charges, after he was caught using and facilitating drugs to his friends in Dubai.
The case dates back to last January, when an anti-narcotics officer, who was on duty in Al Warqa area. noticed the defendant and his friends in an abnormal state at one of the restaurants.
The officer decided to approach the group as they were acting suspicious, and showed his credentials then asked them to show their identifications.
The defendant tried hide drugs effects by wearing sunglasses to cover his eyes, besides speaking with a heavy tongue.
Upon searching the defendant, the officer found a needle inside his small bag and his friends admitted to using hashish and psychotic pills.
The defendant also confessed to having drugs placed inside his friend’s car before being arrested.
The defendant’s friends put the blame on him and mentioned that they have been facilitated with the drugs by him.
They were all subjected to undergo a drug test, which turned out to be positive.
The defendant was apprehended along with his friends and charged with drug-trafficking felony.
