The fake goods were confiscated, which amounted to nearly 16 thousand products, varying between Mu’assel, raw Mu’assel, electronic shisha (hookah), and flavored oils for electronic shisha and tobacco.
The market value of such products was estimated at about Dhs1.5 million. In 2020, two factories in Ajman were closed by DED after 40,000 fake hand sanitisers worth Dhs500,000 were seized. After the removal of the label, it was found that the original product is body spray and not a sanitizer, as promoted.
