The UAE education sector’s satisfaction rate about remote learning experience is more than 90%, across all educational institutions, an official said during weekly media briefing on COVID-19 situation in the country.
Official credited the success to an ongoing effort of the educational workforce for distinctive experiences for the teaching staff, students as well as parents.
“According to the surveys conducted for parents and guardians, the education sector at the national level has been able to achieve its targets in regards to the students' parents / guardians' satisfaction about remote learning’s experience,” official said.
Regarding the Grade 12 exams this month official said “exams for the third semester will be held in June 2021, for public and private schools following the Ministry’s curriculum.”
“Comprehensive plans which guarantees conducting exams within the health procedures and guidelines are put in place and announced through an approved protocol,” official elaborated.
The approved protocol for grade 12 exams has been carefully formulated to ensure the highest standards of health and safety for students, educational and administrative staff.
“The protocol applies equally to students, administrative, educational, and support services staff (security personnel, catering and cleaning staff),” official said.
Parents or guardians of people of determination (special needs) are also urged to follow the protocol strictly.
“We have paid great attention to all segments of students, especially the people of determination (special needs)."
Specific procedures have been set up to facilitate their performance of the tests under ideal conditions. That is in support of this group, which the state and the leadership attach great importance to integrating them into society.
Following are the protocols to be followed during exams:
1. Student must present a COVID-19 test result that it is not older than 4-days before entering the school.
2. A negative PCR test result must be printed from the ALHOSN app and presented to the admission facilitator.
3. The test will be made available free of charge for the previously mentioned groups.
4. Students with COVID-19 virus and students in contact with people infected with the virus are exempted from attending exams.
5. It is necessary to present a certificate indicating infection or contact. An announcement will be made later for taking their exams.
6. Students are urged to reach the school 30 minutes before the start of the exam starting time.
7. Doors of examination centres will be opened an hour before the start of the exams
8.Parents and those accompanying students must stay inside their vehicles.
