UAE authorities have extended suspension on operation of all air services and/or inbound passenger movement to the UAE from India till July 6, 2021.
Air India Express said on Twitter, “General Authority of Civil Aviation, UAE, has suspended all inbound passenger movement to the UAE from India, (excluding UAE nationals) till July 6, 2021."
“Passengers who booked to fly with us during this period can reschedule their tickets for travel at a future date.”
Furthermore, passengers who have transited through India in the last 14 days will also not be accepted to travel from any other point to the UAE.
However, this decision does not apply to the members of the diplomatic missions, UAE nationals and those passengers exempted and/or granted permission to enter UAE by the appropriate authorities.
In May, Emirates Airlines suspended passenger flights from India until June 30, 2021.
However, there were no updates from Emirates.
India's daily coronavirus infections have dipped below 100,000 for the first time in more than two months as an overall downturn prompts some states to ease restrictions.
The 86,498 cases added in the past 24 hours pushed India’s total past 29 million on Tuesday, second only to the United States, which has more than 33 million.
