A village in Kashmir’s Bandipora district has vaccinated all its adult population against the coronavirus disease.
Weyan village has become the first in J&K, where the entire population above 18 years has been vaccinated.
According to officials, Jammu and Kashmir have achieved 70 per cent vaccination for 45 years and above age group.
Officials have said healthcare workers faced several hurdles but worked hard to inoculate every adult in Weyan.
The vaccinators walked 18 km on foot to reach the village, as per the Governor's office.

Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday reported 11 COVID-19 deaths and 1,184 cases.
As per the government data, 763 of the fresh cases were reported from the Kashmir division and 421 in Jammu.
Of the 11 fresh fatalities, five of them have been reported in the Jammu division while 6 were reported in Kashmir taking the overall tally in J&K to 4,101.
The overall death toll comprises 2,108 in Kashmir and 1,993 in Jammu.
There are a total of 21,817 active cases in J&K, 13,674 in Kashmir, and 8,143 in Jammu.
A total of 2,880 covid patients recovered taking the total recoveries to 2,76,733.
