“I'm pleased to have the opportunity to recognise this important event by declaring December 2, 2021, as the Emirati Day in the State of New York. And congratulations to the UAE as well,” Thomas said.
The State of New York and the UAE have had strong, deep-rooted commercial ties, along with several partnerships in various educational, cultural and sport fields among others.
The UAE Consul General, Abdullah Shaheen, thanked Senator Thomas for his kind initiative that enhances the friendship, cooperation and joint work between the UAE and the State of New York, expressing his aspirations for further progress and growth in the coming years.
