A 27-year-old worker stabbed his roommate in the abdomen who was asleep after an argument.
The incident dates back to April 2020, after which the convict confessed to a colleague that he had stabbed their colleague with a small knife after a dispute between them. He reportedly told the colleague that he regretted what he had done.
According to a policeman, an investigation team rushed to the scene of a report alerting that a worker had stabbed his colleague. The victim was taken by an ambulance to the hospital, where it was found that he had a cut in the left side of the abdomen.
The case file was forwarded to the Public Prosecution, where the suspect was referred to the Criminal Court on charges of attempted murder. The Court of First Instance sentenced him to two years in jail, to be followed by deportation and a fine of Dhs5,000.
