A famous Youtuber took the breath away of crowds after his latest stint at New York’s Times Square went viral.
Hunter Kowald surfed through the Times Square on a drone-like structure with eight separate propellers to power the craft.
The mesmerising footage has been widely shared on social media platforms, with netizens asking Hunter to don the Green Goblin costume so he could be compared to the iconic Spider-Man villain.
Hunter wrote on Twitter, “I’m back from the future to introduce generation 2 of the #SkySurfer Hoverboard Aircraft I’ve designed 20+ minutes of flight & 45% MORE power Thankful for everyone who helped make this possible, weeks of work & planning…”
The video showed Hunter taking the flight drawing huge applause from people, then buzzing through the sky several feet above the ground with the iconic Times Square billboards in the background.
Passersby and tourists were seen making videos and clicking photos of Hunter flying over their head.
It was learnt that Hunter is the creator of SkySurfer Hoverboard.
He usually films videos of himself and shares it on his YouTube account.
The young lad has over 232,000 subscribers on YouTube.
Netizens have praised Hunter, but some were concerned about his safety.
A Twitter user, Ian Skinner said, “That looks incredibly unsteady, unsafe and dangerous for the Rider and anyone underneath the rider. #killjoy sorry”
Nameberry said, “You should do an in depth discussion on the board. Are you concerned about the FAA?”
Eric wrote, “It looks like one of those things that someone made just to see if they could make it. Not much of a practical application but interesting that it's possible.”
Holy Eagle said, “Beautiful things are yet to come so cling on to life. Days ago, 3 Egyptian friends were cruising in a buoyant car they invented. And here is a hoverboard. Some day ageing may be history like dinosaurs.”
A user with the name “CJM” said, “Hoverboard aircraft developer? Looks like a dude riding two drones taped together, but whatevs, it's still pretty cool.”
Had. D said, “I hope you understand you need to wear the Green Goblin suit now.”
V.I.P. PyroTM wrote on YouTube,
“Should’ve dressed up as Green Goblin my dude!!”
Italo Rulli said, “If the battery lasts 18 miles, I could come to work on it…”
Well whatever people have to say about Hunter’s hoverboard, one thing is for sure. It looks futuristic and tempting. A must-try for all, if given access to.
