His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, recalled the time he spent with his late father, Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, on the occasion of International Father's Day.
Sheikh Mohammed got nostalgic and posted a special video on his official TikTok account.
“My father forms my childhood memories, and I can never forget the precious moments,” he says.
His Highness added in a video clip: "My father, horses, and Dubai are my first memories of my childhood.
"At the age of four to ten, my father used to pat me and used to ride horses with me during the wee hours. He taught me a lot about the desert and its cruelty.
"We would spend the nights in the desert, and he would take me along for a stroll to make me aware of the nature of the desert. There is a different world right before we sleep.
"Before eight at night, my father taught me how to live in the desert, and after eight in the morning, my father taught me how to live in the city with people.
"How cruel people are, and how beautiful the desert is. My father, horses, and Dubai are my most beautiful memories.”
