India reported on Thursday 54,069 new COVID-19 infections and 1,321 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the country's total caseload to 30,082,778, according to data released by the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Thursday.
This is the seventh consecutive day in the last two months when the toll has been below the 2,000-mark, data from the health ministry showed.

India crossed the mark of over 30,000,000 caseload of COVID on Wednesday, according to Indo-Asian News Service.
The overall tally of COVID-19 cases in the country now stands at 3,00,82,778. India has become the second country after the US to record more than 30,000,000 cases of coronavirus. India added 10,000,000 cases in the last 50 days.
The country has 6,27,057 active cases presently and has witnessed 391,981 deaths so far.
It is also the 17th consecutive day when India reported less than 100,000 new coronavirus cases. On March 23, India had recorded 47,262 cases while on June 22 India reported 42,640 cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, a total of 68,885 people have been discharged in the last 24 hours, taking the total discharge to 29,063,740 till date.
The Health Ministry said that a total of 301,626,028 people have been vaccinated so far in the country, including 6,489,599 who were administered vaccines in the last 24 hours.
According to the Indian Council of Medical Research, 397,832,667 samples have been tested up to June 23 for COVID-19. Of these 1,859,469 samples were tested on Wednesday.
