A restaurant in New Hampshire had an unusual but lucky day on June 12 when an anonymous diner left $16,000 for his $37.93 bill.
The anonymous diner at The Stumble Inn Bar and Grill in Londonderry refused to reveal his motivation for leaving the whopping amount.
On being repeatedly asked by the restaurant owner Michael Zarella if he had somehow made a mistake, the diner just said “don’t spend it all in one place.”
The restaurant divided the $16,000 tip equally between the eight bartenders who were on duty on June 12.
Zarella told local media that anonymous diner was not a regular customer and has just started visiting them.
The restaurant owner said that the anonymous diner still visits from time to time and has confirmed that “it was his intention” to leave so much money.
The restaurant was closed for a few months during the pandemic and has opened it doors for indoor dining from May 18.
