The UAE Health Ministry has urged everyone who have completed the six months of their second COVID-19 vaccine dose to take the booster vaccine to stop the spread of coronavirus.
Dr Farida Al Hosani, Official Spokesperson for the UAE Healthcare Sector, made the statement during its media briefing on Sunday on the latest development of COVID-19 situation in the country.
The authorities stressed on the importance of taking the supporting dose at the present time, to enhance the body’s immunity and raise the rate of antibodies that increase the resistance to the virus.

“We note the importance of the supporting dose for the elderly and those with chronic diseases, whose safety is a priority for all of us,” Dr Farida said.
UAE Health experts have called upon everyone to adhere to precautionary and preventive measures, such as wearing a mask, avoiding gatherings and crowded places, and adhering to sterilisation, in order to ensure the protection and safety of everyone.
Dr Farida said, “With the end of the school year, residents are planning for travel and vacations, we stress the importance of completing the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and taking the supporting dose for people who have completed more than six months on the second dose, in order to raise the rate of immunity and resistance to the disease.
