Etihad extends ‘Verified To Fly’ travel document initiative globally

Etihad Airways’ "Verified To Fly" initiative will allow travellers to validate their coronavirus travel documents before arriving at the airport, making travel mush easier during the pandemic.

The service has been included in Etihad's global travel route.

Etihad passengers can avail this service by visiting the airline’s website.

A traveller needs to click on the "Manage my Booking" icon and follow the instructions.

They will be asked to upload travel information and documents.

Passengers will receive messages, confirming them that they have been approved to travel in accordance with UAE government’s requirements.

Once approved, travellers can enjoy swift check-in at the airport.

Etihad has dedicated a special counter called the “Verified to Fly” for passengers.

After the trial, the service was launched in June.

It proved wide success. It helped travellers to understand the travel procedure and became a one-stop solution for everyone.

Etihad highlighted an important point to the media that passengers’ data are with the airline, and there is no third-party or entities involved in it.

Etihad said this was done to keep privacy of our customers in mind.

Etihad’s Vice President Global Airports and Network Operations John Wright said these are challenging times, and we make things easier for travellers, with their safety our utmost priority.
