An Egyptian driver was killed on Thursday, when a train collided with his truck, while he was trying to cross one of the slipways on the
railway track, near Al Jaziriya village in Qena Governorate, south of Egypt.
Security sources said that the 46-year-old driver, Ashraf Fathy, was trying to cross a slipway with his truck, which suddenly broke down on
the railway. He could not move his vehicle from the slipway, while the speeding Aswan Express train was coming. The train collided with
the vehicle, which threw it away several meters from its path, causing immediate death of the truck’s driver.
