A 65-year-old Austrian had an early morning shocked when a 1.6-metre python bit him while he was sitting on the toilet of his home.
A statement issued by Styria province police said, the shocked citizen in Graz city shortly after he sat on the toilet, he felt a sudden pinch in his genital area. The man then looked into the bowl and found the reptile.
The reptile, which likely to be escaped from a neighbour's home and may have slid into the toilet through the drains.
A reptile expert was contacted to recover the snake from the toilet bowl. The expert cleaned the snake and returned to its owner.
The victim was shifted to a near by hospital for treatment for only minor injuries, the police statement said.
Police referred the neighbour of the victim, to the public persecutor’s office, for keeping 11 non-venomous constrictor pythons at his apartment. The young man faces probe on suspicion of causing bodily harm by negligence.
