Dubai-based airline Emirates has confirmed that flights from India to Dubai will resume on July 16.
Emirates website further bolsters the statement with flight booking is available for travellers from all parts of India.
Apart from Emirates, Vistara, Indigo, flyDubai websites show flights available from July 16 from multiple Indian cities to Dubai.
However, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad will operate from July 21 as scheduled.
Emirates confirmed the news through its support team.
The airline responded to queries of travellers.
An Indian national, Raghib asked, “Dear Emirates when you will start flights from India? Please start flights, we are losing our jobs.... thank you…”
Emiartes responded, “Hi, We'll start the flights from India on the 16th of July.
But, That can change at any time. We'd suggest keeping an eye on our travel updates DM us for anything else. Thanks.”
Emirates also responded to another Indian, Siraz SK.
The team responded, “Hi Siraz, we're expecting to operate back from India on the 16th of July. Changes may happen as the situation remains dynamic.”
The flights between two countries were suspended after the spike in coronavirus cases in India and the emergence of the Delta variant.
The UAE aviation authorities said that the situation is being closely monitored.
Emirates also said that passengers would not be permitted to travel to the UAE if he/ she has transited through India in the past 14 days.
However, Emiratis, Golden Visas holders and diplomatic missions’ staff would be allowed to travel if they agree to the latest travel measures.
The UAE authorities have approved the Covishield vaccine for Indian travellers. The Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine is being sold in India under the brand name Covishield.
