UAE reports 1,541 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths and 1,497 recoveries

The UAE health ministry announced on Thursday that it has conducted 284,799 additional COVID-19 tests and detected  1,541 new coronavirus cases.

The new infections bring the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 656,354.

All the tests were carried out over the past 24 hours using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment, said ehe Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP).

 All the infected individuals belong to different nationalities and are in a stable condition after receiving the necessary care, said the ministry statement.

 Total number of deaths in the UAE due to COVID-19 complication rose to 1,885 after 5 new deaths were reported on Thursday.

 An additional 1,497 patient had fully recovered from the infections and this brings the total number of recoveries in the UAE to 634,272.

The Ministry also announced that 74,522 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The total number of doses provided up to Thursday stands at 16,194,526 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 163.74 doses per 100 people.

The Ministry has stressed that its aim is to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of infections.

This will help ministry to carry out the necessary treatment.

Expressing its sincere condolences to the families of the deceased the ministry called on all members of the society to adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.
