The Abu Dhabi authorities said that children and adults can perform Eid prayer at home in Abu Dhabi.
The emergency team said that the decision has been taken as preventive and precautionary measures for Eid Al Adha 2021 to ensure the health and safety of all community members.
The authorities said, “These include children and adults praying at home, to protect public health.”
On the other hand, following approval by the Abu Dhabi Emergency teams, all citizens and residents needing to leave home for essential reasons or to buy food or medicine during National Sterilisation Programme hours between midnight and 5am from Monday, 19 July 2021, must apply for a movement permit at adpolice.gov.ae
The authorities said that the move would limit the spread of COVID-19 strains in the UAE and to ensure the continuity of examinations.
The authorities said that during these crucial hours, all traffic and public activities would be restricted.
The transportation authorities said that all transportation services would be unavailable in all parts of the emirate.
The emergency teams have urged members of the public to avoid public places and that everyone must stay indoors.
The Abu Dhabi also announced the adoption of updated procedures to enter the emirate, starting from Monday, July 19, as part of proactive efforts and precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 strains and to ensure the continuity of examinations.
The authorities approved allowing entry to the emirate within 48 hours of receiving a negative result of PCR tests, and within 24 hours of receiving a negative result of the examination of the DPI.
