The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has said that the weather on Thursday is expected to be partly cloudy in general and hazy at times during daytime, with a chance of some convective clouds formation over some eastern and southern areas may be associated with rainfall.
Abu Dhabi and the city of Al Ain saw heavy downpour on Wednesday, prompting authorities to issue weather warnings.
The NCM also indicated that the temperatures on Thursday in the UAE are expected to be in the following range:
Abu Dhabi — 35-44ºC
Dubai — 35-45ºC
Sharjah — 33-45 ºC,
Ajman— 34-45 ºC
Umm Al Quwain — 33-44 ºC
Ras Al Khaimah —33-43 ºC
Fujairah — 33-46 ºC
Al Ain — 33-43 ºC
Temperatures tend to increase gradually, the NCM said, noting that light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand are expected with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr with clouds.
“The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and slight to moderate in Oman Sea,” it added.
Weather on Friday is expected to be partly cloudy in general and hazy at times during daytime, with a chance of some convective clouds formation over some eastern and southern areas maybe rainy at times, according to the NCM.
Light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds are expected, freshening at times causing blowing dust and sand, with a speed of 15 – 25 reaching 40 km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea, the NCM added.
