A woman stole diamond worth £4.2 million from a luxury jewellery dealer in London. The woman pretended to be a jewellery expert and replaced the real diamond with fake diamond while she was checking it.
The British media said that the woman, Lulu Lakatos, replaced 7 pieces of the original diamond at the Boodles showroom on New Bond Street in central London.
She put the jewels in a closed purse and when it was opened, 7 pieces of fake diamond were found. Lakatos, 60, who denied the charge was born in Romania and lived in France.
