Famed Pakistani film actress Meera is heartbroken with the world of showbiz and has decided to try her luck in politics.
Meera said she has decided to join the ruling Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf of Imran Khan and would make a formal announcement at a press conference along with the PTI leaders.
This is not the first time she has entered the politics. In 2013, the actress, who acted in joint Indo-Pak film Nazar, had announced to contest the elections against Imran Khan and Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) candidate Sarfaraz Nawaz.
Showbiz industry’s pundits say Meera knows the art of getting the media limelight for one or the other reason.
Recently, she pleaded with Imran Khan in a property case, claiming that she is being threatened by the land-grabber who has seized her family’s property. She also said that even her mother had been kidnapped.
However, the man accused by the actress said that he was the one who was duped by Meera’s mother Shafqat Zahra and brother Ahasan.
Meera had been featured in several movies including Kasak, Nazar, Bhadaas, and Sheitaan.
