A 17-year-old high school student, Manar M.S, died today (Saturday) 15 minutes before entering the physics exam in Kafr Balmashat village near Menouf town, Al Menoufiya Governorate, Egypt.
The death of Manar was due to health deterioration, which she suffered while waiting for the physics exam, local media said.
The student was immediately transferred to the Menouf Hospital, while the security authorities and the Public Prosecution were notified to initiate investigations.
Ahmed Suwaid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Al Menoufiya Governorate, said, “The high school student Manar fainted while climbing the stairs heading to the exam committee before completing the procedures for entering the physics exam.”
He explained that the death of the student was 15 minutes before she entered the exam, as she suddenly lost consciousness and was immediately transferred to the hospital.
The student suffered a sharp drop in blood circulation before entering the exam hall, followed by a heart attack. Doctors announced her death in Menouf Hospital, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education added.
