The Abu Dhabi Police have urged all members of the public to check for updates before travelling to Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra.
The residents have been urged to preplan their arrival to the said destinations before the National Sterilisation Programme timings.
The disinfection programme begins daily from 12 midnight to 5am. It is part of the precautionary measures to curb the spread of COVID-19.
To avoid fines and smooth movement in Abu Dhabi, the Abu Dhabi Police shared a link to register for movement permit in the emirate during the disinfection programme.
To register, a resident must visit https://adpolice.gov.ae
A webpage will open.
The page will have other options, but a user is advised to click on the “Move Permit Request” icon.
Once again another webpage page will open.
It is on his page, a user is asked the mobile number.
The user now must follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process to acquire the Movement Permit in the emirate.
The disinfection programme is part of the emirate’s efforts to protect members of the public and prevent the spread of coronavirus in Abu Dhabi and the UAE.
The authorities said, “Following approval by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee to launch the National Sterilisation Programme in Abu Dhabi emirate starting from midnight tonight, Abu Dhabi Police will not send a phone alert at the start of the programme.
The police have urged members of the public to remain indoors during the programme hours that are between midnight and 5am, unless it is absolutely essential to go out, or to get food or medicine.
The police said it will activate radars during these times, and fines will be slapped on those who affect the programme in protecting public health and preventing the spread of Covid-19.
