Gang of Africans assaults GCC national, steal Dhs714,000 from him

The Dubai Criminal Court has sentenced an African gang of four to two years in jail and fined them Dhs714,000 on charges of assaulting a GCC national and stealing an amount equal to the fine from him.
All four of them will be deported after serving their sentences.
According to the case papers, which took place last October, the gangsters tracked the victim to make sure that he had money.
Once they found the victim alone in one of the streets between buildings in Bur Dubai, they hit him on the head and he fell unconscious.
The defendant then stole all his money and fled.
After getting the information about the the incident police collected evidence, identified the suspects and arrested them.
On being interrogated, they confessed to their crime.
