VIDEO: Elderly Algerian jeweller teaches a thief a hard lesson, but loses valuables

A video of a brave Algerian old man is doing the rounds on social media platforms. In the video, he catches a thief who was trying to steal jewellery items from his shop.
He was caught, but managed to free himself and fled the scene.
In the video, the thief appears as a young man sneaking into the jewellery store of the elderly, while the latter is busy cleaning in front of his shop.
The thief tried stole all the jewellery in the shop and began wandering inside. This drew the attention of the old man, who hurried into the shop.
The unlucky thief tried to hide under a shelf but the old man discovered him and beat him with a broomstick.
The thief managed to run away while a number of passersby tried to catch him.
It is not known whether the thief was caught or not.
A Facebook user wrote,"The man taught him a tough lesson."
