VIDEO: These people in the UAE will receive COVID-19 vaccine at home for free

The Abu Dhabi Public Health Centre (ADPHC), in cooperation with the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company “SEHA”, called on elderly citizens and residents over 50 to contact “80050” to book an appointment to receive the COVID-19 vaccine from home.
The step comes within the “We Will Reach You Wherever You Are” initiative, which was launched to ensure the safety of the elderly, and to spare them the trouble of going to vaccination centers.
Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesperson for the health sector, and director of the Communicable Diseases Department at the ADPHC, said, “We see some elderly and those with chronic diseases are still hesitating to receive the COVID-19 vaccine, although they are the most vulnerable to complications from the disease.
“Some may not be eligible for the vaccine, so they must visit a doctor to examine them to determine whether to receive it or not.”
The ADPHC stressed its keenness to provide the vaccine for the elderly in their homes, to ensure that all eligible elderly people will be vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to protect them from complications of the disease. It also aims to spare them from the burdens of visiting the vaccination centers and to offer them distinguished health services in their homes.
The ADPHC has allocated a qualified medical staff to enhance the possibility of stimulating and reaching the elderly through home services with abiding by the precautionary and preventive measures in force in country to combat COVID-19.
