A lost child was found by an Egyptian young man walking on the streets of Mohandessin in Giza, south of Cairo. The man shot a video with the child saying he was lost and shared it on social media.
Social media users circulated the video of the Egyptian with the Saudi child in Giza, which gained widespread attention and resulted in the child being reunited with his parents within 6 hours.
In the video, the Egyptian man accompanied with the Saudi child said, “The child was lost from his family and was found walking in the streets of Mohandessin in Giza, south of Cairo, and that he is publishing this video in order to promote and circulate it, and it may reach the child’s father.”
The Saudi child said that he is from the city of Yanbu, and he was sitting with his family in a café in Mohandessin. He left the café to buy something and then got lost.
To calm the panic-stricken boy, the Egyptian man said, "Don't worry."
Hours after the video was published, which was widely circulated on the social media sites in the two countries, the video reached the father of the child, who called the phone number attached to the video to reach the Egyptian man.
He told the Egyptian that he was on his way to him to retrieve his child, according to local media.
The Egyptian young man hosted the Saudi child in his house until his father arrived.
He published another video explaining his success in reaching the Saudi father, and that he is on his way to him. The child was delighted to hear the news and said that he loves Egypt.
The young Egyptian replied, "We also love Saudi Arabia, and that the two countries are one people.”
