UAE Travel Update: 12 days quarantine mandatory for Indians landing in Abu Dhabi

Authorities in the UAE have issued fresh guidelines for residents travelling from India to Abu Dhabi.  

The authorities said that 12 days quarantine is must for Indians arriving in Abu Dhabi provided they meet all the other travel guidelines.

Etihad Airways said on its website that Indians arriving in Abu Dhabi will be required to quarantine for 12 days and wear a medically approved wristband for the duration of the quarantine period.

The authorities at Abu Dhabi airport will provide the wristband once the passengers clear the immigration.

The passengers are also required to take a PCR test on arrival. Another PCR test on day six and day eleven will be conducted.

Residents are advised to undergo the rapid PCR test within 4 hours of boarding at Indian airports.

The authorities said that any test taken outside of the airport facility will not be accepted.

The UAE authorities have issued a list of requirements for passengers.

The authorities said holders of valid residency who received full vaccination in the UAE and 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose and carrying vaccination certificates approved by the official authorities in the country will be allowed to enter from those countries.

All of these categories are required to submit a request on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to obtain the necessary approval. Vaccination certificates approved by authorities in the country should be attached.
