Etihad Airways has said that Dubai visa holders can land in Abu Dhabi and travel to Dubai after clearing the immigration at the emirate’s airport.
The national airline said, “You can fly to Abu Dhabi if you are a UAE national or resident, or if you are eligible for a visa on arrival. If you’re travelling from select countries you’re taking part in the National Vaccination Programme in the UAE, you’ll be exempt from quarantine requirements when you arrive.”
The Etihad also said that there will be no requirement for quarantine in Abu Dhabi if the passenger is travelling straight to Dubai.
The airline said that this rule would only be applicable if the passenger travels to Dubai or any northern emirate by Etihad Chauffeur or Etihad Coach only.
The Etihad website also said, “If you’re travelling to another emirate via Abu Dhabi as a tourist, your visa must be issued in Abu Dhabi – tourist visas issued in Dubai or other emirates will only be accepted if you originate from a green listed country.”
Before commencing the journey, a resident must visit the ICA website to fill in passport details, vaccine information, and PCR test results.

The UAE authorities have issued a list of requirements for passengers.
The authorities said holders of valid residency who received full vaccination in the UAE and 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose and carrying vaccination certificates approved by the official authorities in the country will be allowed to enter from those countries.
All of these categories are required to submit a request on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship to obtain the necessary approval. Vaccination certificates approved by authorities in the country should be attached.
A quick PCR test before boarding the plane will apply, in addition to applying the precautionary and preventive measures upon arrival, including quarantine and a PCR test.
Transit passengers from all countries from which transit passengers were previously suspended will be allowed to resume their travel, provided the traveller’s last destination accepts entry with a negative PCR test within 72 hours of the time of departure.
