A wedding ceremony in the Egyptian governorate of Kafr El-Sheikh turned violent with gunfire, which led to the groom's injury at the hands of the bride's father.
The police stated that a report was received from the families stating that a quarrel occurred at the wedding and the Criminal Investigation Department in Kafr El-Sheikh was notified to quickly apprehend the perpetrators involved in the incident.
The wedding turned nasty after a dispute broke out in the ceremony between the couple's parents.
A quarrel broke out during which the groom and his brother were injured by gunshots by the bride’s father.
The injured were transferred to Kafr El-Sheikh General Hospital.
Witnessed have been called by the police to understand the situation that led to the violence.
The Public Prosecution office took over the investigation.
