Negative PCR result must for 12-year-old students

The Department of Education and Knowledge at Abu Dhabi affirmed that students, 12 years and above, teachers and all school staff are requested to provide a negative result of PCR test, valid for 96 hours, when returning from long vacations.

The Department said some procedures will be applied on students returning from abroad, like home or health isolation and conducting specific tests conducted in accordance with the list of requirements adopted by the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi and the National Authority for Disaster Management, Crisis and Emergencies.

The Department said schools should be supplied with a travel declaration form, which must be collected before the start of the semester and submitted with all necessary information.

“Students must conduct a PCR test before returning to school, after the school administrations inform parents of the day of the test. Without it, students are not allowed to enter the school building,” the  Department affirmed.

The Department decided which groups will be asked to conduct the PCR test every two weeks, and submit a negative result to allow them to enter the school building. These include the 12-year-old students, and all employees and teachers of the school. Students of determination are excluded from this as they will be asked to conduct the PCR test only after return from travel.
