First wife’s son kills husband’s family

A terrible massacre took place in the city of Mahmudiya in Baghdad, resulting in the killing of a family of six, the father, mother and four children.
The family was shot dead by an individual, according to Iraqi media.
A fifth child, that is the daughter, was seriously injured.
The police formed a team to investigate the incident and arrest the perpetrator.
The ministry of Interior said in a statement that the team arrested the culprit, who turned out to be the son of the first wife of the murdered husband.
The culprit confessed to the crime saying that it was due to family dispute.
Police seized the weapon used in crime.
In recent years, the crime rates have increased in Iraq.
In 2020, criminal crimes rose by 12%, compared with its percentage in 2019.
Specialists attributed that due to unemployment and drugs, crime has gone up.
