The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that validity of expired visit visas of people in the Kingdom from countries that were put on travel ban list would be automatically extended free of charge.
The ban was imposed due to the emergence of COVID-19 variants.
The ministry said visas would be valid till Sept.30, 2021.
The ministry said that concerned persons must visit the website to update the visa status.

No payment is required for the service, according to the Ministry’s statement, which also confirmed that the service allows visitors from outside Saudi Arabia to extend the validity of their visas automatically.
“Those whose visas have expired during the suspension of the entry period from the previously announced countries, can benefit from the service,” the statement added.
