UAE detects 1,215 new COVID-19 cases

The UAE recorded the lowest COVID-19 infection on Friday since the beginning of 2021, with 1,215 cases. Earlier, the lowest reported cases since the spread of the pandemic was in December of the year 2020, with 944 cases.

On Friday, the UAE Ministry of Health announced that it had conducted 277,855 examinations as part of its plans to expand the scope of examinations, and revealed 1,215 new cases of the emerging coronavirus.

The Ministry stressed in a statement that its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.

As part of its intensified testing campaign, MoHAP announced that it conducted 277,855 additional COVID-19 tests over the past 24 hours, using state-of-the-art medical testing equipment.

The infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, according to the ministry.

MoHAP also announced 2 deaths due to COVID-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,994.

MoHAP) has announced that 24,845 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were given in the past 24 hours.

The total number of doses provided up to Friday stands at 17,313,163 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 175.05 doses per 100 people.

The Ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished COVID-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,390 individuals had fully recovered from COVID-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 676,956.
