Abu Dhabi emergency team announced the process for verifying international vaccination certificates for visitors to Abu Dhabi emirate.
The decision is taken to curb the spread of COVID-19 variants in the country.
The new procedure allows international travellers to the UAE to have the green status on Alhosn app.
The authorities said that process can only be available to those vaccinated and they will be allowed to access public places in the emirate starting Aug. 20, 2021.
A traveller, before departing the native country must register in the “Register Arrivals” section of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (ICA) app.
The ICA link: https://smartservices.ica.gov.ae/echannels/web/client/guest/index.html#/registerArrivals
After the filling-up the register arrivals form, the traveller must upload the international vaccination certificate issued in his/ her native country.
The traveller will receive an SMS urging him/ her download the Alhosn app.
Upon arrival at Abu Dhabi, the traveller would receive a Unified Identification Number (UID). This number would either be issued by the airport or via the ICA app or website.
All travellers are requested to download and register themselves with the Alhosn app using the UID and phone number used for ICA registration or when taking a PCR test in the UAE.
Failure to do so will leave the traveller with no choice but to return to the native country.
The traveller will receive a one-time password (OTP) to complete the Alhosn app registration process. This Alhosn app will help the visitors and travellers to access public places and make hotel bookings without any hassle.
The Alhosn app has all details that traveller needs to travel to other destinations, test results and use a live QR code for tests and access to public places.
