On August 15, at 7.30am, the flag hoisting ceremony on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of India was held at the India Social and Cultural Centre, Abu Dhabi.

The tricolour was raised by George Varghese, Hon. Acting President of ISC. This was done in the presence of Madam Mahra Al Amry, Manager, Ministry of Community Development (MOCD) Abu Dhabi, Jojo Ambooken, Hon.
General Secretary of ISC, K. Muraleeedharan, Patron Governor of ISC, Managing Committee of ISC. Among others present were General Governors of ISC, former President & General Secretaries of ISC, Y.K.
