The Russian United Aircraft Corporation (OAK) told the TASS news about the crash of the plane while landing about 1.5 km from Kubinka Airport on the outskirts of Moscow, stressing that preliminary data indicated a fire in the plane's engine.
The light Russian transport aircraft "Il-112 light" is intended for transporting payloads of less than 5 tonnes of merchandise, army personnel, weapons and military equipment of all kinds.
A large military exhibition was scheduled to take place in Kubinka, a military town about 63 kilometers west of Moscow.
