The Dubai Police have recently honoured Muhammad Saleh Al Waqdi, in his workplace and among his colleagues for his honesty as he handed over a bag full of cash he had found near an ATM on Sheikh Zayed Road. The bag contained Dhs45,800 cash, private documents and a cheque worth Dhs70,000.

Brigadier Abdul Rahim Bin Shafie, director of Al Barsha Police Station, led a delegation to Al Wadi’s workplace in Al Barsha Mall, to honour him and thank him for his positive response, and praise his honesty.
Brigadier Bin Shafie pointed out that this is within the “We Reach You to Thank You” initiative, which aims at honouring external collaborators at their workplace amongst their colleagues. “Dubai Police are keen on strengthening the concept of community partnership with the police, and reinforcing the sense of responsibility among individuals,” he said.
The employee thanked the Dubai Police for their gesture and explained that he just fulfilled his national duty by handing the bag to Al Barsha Police Station which ultimately returned to its owner.
