Maidservants steal jewellery worth Dhs250,000 from sponsor's house in Dubai

The Dubai Criminal Court looked into the case of two maidservants who were charged with stealing gold and precious accessories estimated at Dhs250,000 from their sponsor’s home.
Details of the case date back to June 2021 when an Arab filed a report saying that his mother's jewellery was stolen from a wooden box.
He added that his mother asked him to bring her the jewellery from the box but he found that there was none.
He then headed to the maids’ room and searched the clothes of one of them.
He was shocked found some of the missing jewellery in a secret pocket of maid's clothes.
The maids were arrested and the court ordered their imprisonment.
